High Achievers..

So it has been a whirlwind of load of learning- from building rafts out of barrels and paddles on Thompson Island and dancing till late before jumping into the Atlantic... to how a film's choice of revenue recognition affected their share price...to price discrimination and tapping into consumer surpluses...to beers with accounting professor Joe at the Muddy Charles and discussing how the professors 'collude' to make their subjects all tie together coherently...to arguing whether cooking the books over $8m was a punishable offence...to dodgy harbourmasters and poor baby scallops to poor airport security and why the hell anyone believes in R-squared anyway...
to crazy karaoke where "It Rained Men" and "Women Vogued" followed by clubbing in downtown Boston.. to arguing till midnight whether variable costs were enough when deciding whether to stay in the market...to accounting vs economic profit..to proving we could tell which was Coke and which was Pepsi (so not all product differentiation is simply in the branding)..to the fact that in Japan a lady should not get married as this will strikingly reduce her chances of being promoted!

I think overall we can sum up that our MC=MR, that is that the extra cost of what we have put in we have certainly earned back...through blood, sweat and tears maybe..but also through wisdom, smiles and hugs.

The nights and days were certainly long and oh my god the fatigue and bloodshot eyes, not to mention occasional snoring in class..without coffee we so could not have survived...

It was a beautiful moment giving special gifts to our special Profs and feeling like one chapter was over but looking excitedly forward to the next..and the next...choosing our electives also added more excitement and a chance to put our newly-learnt Game Theory collusionary skills together with out Data Gathering skills (we will NEVER just use intuition, Duncan) into our bidding process, which only Sloan makes their students go through. Is this part of the team work ethic and yet another skill they're trying to teach us, we muse as it all ends well...

And we've set up a HUGE number of committees and interest groups ranging from Sustainability to Health Care, Fundraising, Social and Entrepreneurship....

After a short but gorgeous break where temperatures hit the mid 30s, some of us discovered the beaches around New England whilst others had a speedy wedding in between course changes! And so, are we aiming high? Well, it depends ;-)
